India wins World Copy Paste Championship

India – a leader in outsourcing business has won the World Copy-Paste Championship (WCPC). Held bi-annually over a period of 4 days in India’s BPO hub Gurgaon, WCPC attracts talented pool of experts in copy-paste jobs across the world. The championship involves challenging tasks like – copy-pasting from pdf(s) to word file(s)/excel sheet(s)/database(s) or any other paste-able object. The final line up for the tournament comprised of challengers from Philippines, Bangladesh, Australia, Vietnam, China and India. However, Indian Analysts finished in top 5 once again proving their worth despite sharp rupee depreciation and hostility of the West against Outsourcing. This also proved that Indian Analysts has made up for Dollar appreciation by raising their productivity. This makes India yet again a top destination for Copy-Paste work from countries like USA, UK, Europe and Australia.

“We had worked really hard to prepare our employees for this competition. We ensured that they continuously practice on their computers for 10-12 hours. Laptops were provided to the employees suffering from diarrhea/dysentery or those who loved company's washroom more than their work station. This itself was a very rigorous training program. We are happy that our Analysts have done us proud. It could not have come at a better time when there are protests against outsourcing in USA”

We ensured that employees  were not paid their bonus unless they reach the finals. In the practice sessions, it was not very uncommon to see keyboards breaking in middle of practice sessions. We improved the technique of employee to make them swifter through the air. Hiring the likes of Arun Lal really made all the difference. There’s a lot common between cricket and our game.
